SFRES acknowledge that we are located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of thescəw̓aθən (Tsawwassen), xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) and Coast Salish Peoples. We recognize and honour their enduring connection to this land, and we are grateful for the opportunity to live, work, and learn here. We extend our deepest respect and appreciation to these First Nations for their stewardship of the land and their ongoing contributions to our community.

Ladner Silt Deposits
Our Purpose
The South Fraser River Enhancement Society (formerly Ladner Sediment Group) is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the quality of life on and around the River.
Our Goals
Through collaboration with local residents, government agencies, and environmental partners, we advocate for sustainable management practices that balance environmental stewardship with economic and recreational needs. Listening to the needs of our members we are currently focused on two critical issues:

1.) Developing a sustainable dredging program for the Lower Fraser River Secondary Channels with funding from Local, Provincial and Federal governments.

2.) Abolishment of the 10-Year Float Home Moratorium
